Pr. François Peronnet

François Peronnet is Emeritus Professor at the Kinesiology Department, University of Montreal (Canada). His research topics deal with exercise physiology and bioenergetics related to nutrition and sports performance. He has published over 150 papers in peer reviewed journals, and has written 21 books or book chapters, 56 professional articles and almost 70 journal abstracts. He has delivered over 300 conference presentations and keynote lectures in various countries.

His research work in physiology has been funded by Canadian Research Concil from 1980 to 2007, with a grant of 240 000 $ between 2003 and 2007 focused on the metabolic adaptations and modifications of glucagon hepatic receptors in humans and rats in response to exercise and training.
